Upon our journey to a selfless self-love, we must to look beyond our beauty and physical bodies. Turning our gaze skywards, to our oft forgotten bonny brains. Adore its complexity, and the wonderful world it creates for us ♪~ ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ.
This leaves the question of: How can we care for our minds?
All of our brains crave newness, therefore, regular wining and dining of our grey matter is a must.
Learning can be really cool! To kick us off, try something newfangled, nonlinear or novel.
One of the easiest ways to engage your mind, is to pick up a book (◠﹏◠✿). Try your local library, bookstore (e.g. Readings) or search your own bookcase. You can discover oodles of strangeness and oddities your mind will marvel.
Writing is also a really amazing way to let the flood gates of your mind burst open. There’s this rosy release for me when I write. Naturally, putting pen to paper is a daily occurrence for me. Whether it’s writing never-ending lists of projects to do, relaying ideas from my swirling mind, drafting topics and posts for blondeinflares, or leaving notes for my loved ones.
Have a go at a daily journal, jotting down the gratitude you feel, cook up stories and poems, record your half-baked dreams, take the plunge and start a blog, or simply write letters to people.
The world of writing has an endless supply of entities to try, keeping our minds merry.
Dance is another outlet for a mental health boost, both physically and the big cheese above. Myself, I love dancing! But if you can picture Elaine from Seinfeld dancing, then you get the idea ⊂◉‿◉つ. I’m totally okay with my zany Zoe dancing, although I’m always down for learning a new step or two, to crank it up. There’s a multitude of styles out there! Youtube a tutorial, or try out a dance class for some fun.
Walk or take a trip somewhere new. Travel is a great way to stimulate your mind, and a chance to just take a breath of blissful, fresh air. This can be as simple as following a new path along the river you walk, road tripping to camp out in nature, or ambling through your neighbourhood; take in all the flowers, house details and anomalies you may of normally missed.
There’s so much more to be said, but it will have to wait until next time. In the meanwhile, take care of yourselves hunnies and bunnies because you deserve it! (●⌒∇⌒●)
Sending self-loving vibes,
Zoe xo

Zoe, your blog is such a cute little space over here! I so agree- writing through this blog has helped me tremendously. It is my outlet and my journal. And dancing, YES! I just saw the nutcracker last night and it made me want to take up dance again as I used to do ballet….
